Check In: The St. Regis Bangkok

A little back story for you: Since Nick and I both love traveling, we were really excited to pick somewhere neither of us had been for our honeymoon. We were debating between Bora Bora and Thailand, and I was pushing hard for Bora Bora (hellllooo – have you seen the Four Seasons??), when all of a sudden, Thailand started popping up in our conversations. After hearing one too many AMAZING things about Thailand, we booked the trip! I will be sure to make a post with the overview of our trip – and how we decided where to go.

First stop – The St. Regis Bangkok We stayed for a total of four nights and were upgraded to the Metropolitan Suite. It was absolutely amazing! The suite was larger than our apartment in Chicago—and it included the most relaxing bathtub.

I definitely recommend spending a day by the pool. Great service, views for days, and quite relaxing. They also have a signature cocktail, the Bloody Siam, their spin on the typical Bloody Mary.

Fun Fact: The Bloody Mary was originally invented at the St. Regis in Manhattan in 1934 by the head bartender, Fernand Petiot.

My favorite Casual Luxury: The 24 hour butler service is my FAVORITE thing about the St. Regis. I think it brings out my inner Eloise.  From daily morning cappuccinos to nightly movie suggestions (my husband loves the free laundry service), the butler service makes the St. Regis stand out against other hotel options.
